The Early Childhood intervention looks at early detection of developmental delay and contribution to healthy development and well-being of young children through initiatives that emphasize parent and community engagement, professional development, and government accountability.
According to one of the surveys conducted in 2010, in Georgia 8.5% of two-year-old children have a developmental delay. There are approximately 300 000 children under the age of 5 in Georgia, which means that 25 000 children may have a similar problem.
